I'm noticing a lot of shy men who seem rude due to nerves in romance lately - this reminded me slightly of Joshua from The Hating Game).

I've not read many books with parents as protagonists and I wasn't sure how well I would click with the book as a result, but I had no reason to worry - as always Christina Lauren brought out magic on the page.

I didn't know all that much about it going in, just that there was a dating app based on DNA and our main character Jess Davis was a single mother. In the end, I caved and bought the big version - but you don't have to as the standard paperback size was released earlier this week (you can grab it here). On the list of instant-buy authors, Christina Lauren remains very high (alongside Sally Thorne, Gayle Forman and now also Annette Christie). I first came across them when I read Autoboyography, and by the time I'd worked my way through their standalones I was hooked. Christina Lauren are a best friend writing duo that have well established themselves in the world of romance.
